About
This website is the culminating project for a HIS 698 Media and Technology project for an M.A. in History at National University. It will serve as an educational resource for teachers, students, and the general public to learn about the history of the women warriors of Dahomey. These women, often referred to as the Amazons of Dahomey, were an elite all-female military force that was famous for its ruthlessness and skill in battle. They were in existence for several hundred years until their defeat by the French. Several websites concerning the women warriors of Dahomey have been created over the past few years. This website packages the information into more manageable pieces for easier navigation and comprehension by students, teachers, and the general public.
